Guaranteed Purity
With our
single-sprig propagation, rotation of our fields every 5 years,
and control of the planting stock from production through
installation, we can guarantee genetically pure planting stock. |
|
| |
|
Guaranteed Establishment
We guarantee
quick establishment of the greens we plant. If the
establishment is unsatisfactory, we will provide more planting
stock at no cost. |
|

|
Refrigerated Transportation Of Planting Stock
We ship all of
the sprigs that we plant using refrigerated transport and our
own proprietary systems for pre-chilling the sprigs and shipment
using special containers which allow for circulation of the
refrigerated air. |

The
Fastest Grow-In Possible
The combination
of our proprietary production, harvest, and transport
technologies with our planting techniques and grow-in programs
custom-tailored to your course allow us to provide the quickest
grow-ins in the industry. Of 60+ courses we planted in 2006,
the grow-in time of most was just over 6 weeks. |

Nematodes In The Planting Stock
The most common
source of nematodes found on newly planted greens is the
planting stock! This is especially true when you get sprigs
from a nursery located on sandy soil in an area known to have
high nematode populations. Not only are our nurseries not
located in nematode-infested sandy soils, but we also take
additional steps in production and harvesting to ensure that we
don’t contribute to your nematode problems. (See article “How
we ship sprigs free of harmful nematodes”) |

|
|
No Weeds In Planting Stock
By harvesting
sprigs that are free of soil, we can avoid transporting any
significant quantities of weed seeds. If there is a weed
problem due to seeds transported in the plant material, we will
fix it. |
|
|
|
|
No Soil In Planting Stock
Our production
and harvest techniques allow us to bring only plant material and
no soil. This is a requirement for bringing planting stock into
most states. |

Heavy Equipment On Your Greens
This seems very
obvious, yet many others use heavy equipment to save on labor
costs. We only use hand-operated equipment to plant your new
greens. |

Free Prior
Consultation
Many of the
critical decisions that have a substantial impact on the
ultimate success or failure of your project are made early on.
These include factors such as cultivar selection, construction
or renovation methodology, rootzone selection, etc. Some of
these decisions can be difficult and should take into account a
number of factors that are not always obvious. At your request,
Champion Turf Farms will send a consultant who will assist you
with these decisions. If diagnostic testing is necessary, we
will take the required samples for you and send you a written
report as well. All of this is done as a free service and with
no obligation in hopes that you will consider us to install your
greens if you proceed with your project. |

|
Free Soil Testing
Because the
condition of the soil is so important to the performance of the
grass, we will take soil tests for you before and after
planting. This even includes physical testing if you are
considering renovation or are simply trying to diagnose a
problem on existing greens. All of this is a free service to
our clients. |

Follow-Up Visits After Greens Are Planted
We make
follow-up visits to every course we plant to ensure that things
are progressing as they should be and to head-off potential
problems before they become real problems. There are many
things that happen that will set back the grow-in significantly,
but nobody has seen as many greens grow-in as we have and we
know what to look for.
We continue to
make follow-up visits even after the greens are grown-in to make
sure that the superintendent is comfortable with the management
practices of the of the grass we have installed. We provide
extensive documentation of management practices and remain a
phone call away if further assistance is needed. |

Free Nursery
Greens*
We maintain sod
in the event that a course we have planted needs sod for repairs
due to vandalism, accidents, etc. However, the more common
requirement is for plugs, which can only come from a
nursery green maintained on site. Therefore we always encourage
our clients to plant a nursery green. We do not charge for
planting a nursery green at the time of planting the other
greens. |
|
|
|
|
Free Sod For
Repairs*
If small areas
receive damage during the grow-in that requires sod to repair,
we will provide it (or sprigs, depending on the situation) at no
cost. |
|
|
|
|
Free
Sprigs For Replanting*
If the greens
require replanting for any reason (regardless of fault) we will
provide more sprigs at no charge. We do this because once you
have our grass on your greens, we are committed to your
successful outcome no matter what it takes. |
